Welcome to Noma. Whether you have recently moved into town, purchased property, or are considering making Noma your home, we are glad you are here. Noma is a small, close-knit community in northern Holmes County, and we take pride in being a quiet, friendly place to live.

This page is designed to help new residents understand how local services work, who to contact with questions, and what services are provided by the Town versus Holmes County or private providers.

Town Council Meetings
The Noma Town Council meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:00 PM at Town Hall. Meetings are open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend.


Utilities and Essential Services

Water and Sewer Service

The Town of Noma provides municipal water and sewer service to customers within the town limits.

Trash and Solid Waste Collection

The Town of Noma does not provide curbside trash collection. Residents are encouraged to use one of the local private trash pickup services for regular household waste:

Internet Service

Internet options for Noma residents currently include:

  • Satellite internet providers (various providers available)

  • TriTech Fiber will be offering high-speed fiber internet service to the Noma community in the near future.

Holmes County Services

Many services are handled by Holmes County rather than the Town of Noma. Common examples include:

Law Enforcement: Law enforcement services in Noma are provided by the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office: Phone (850) 547-3681

Fire Protection: Fire protection is provided by the Noma Volunteer Fire Department. Community support and volunteers are always appreciated.


Address Changes and Mail

If you are new to Noma or move within town, please remember to update your address with:

  • The U.S. Postal ServiceNoma does not have a local post office. The nearest post offices are located in Bonifay and Graceville.


Permits, Codes, and Property Questions

Certain activities may require permits or approvals before work begins, including:

  • New construction

  • Placement of mobile or manufactured homes

  • Major repairs or improvements

Before starting a project, residents are encouraged to contact the Holmes County Building Department.
