Burning Household Trash Is Not Allowed in Town
1/6/2026
The Town of Noma would like to remind residents that burning household trash is not allowed within town limits.
Household trash includes items such as plastics, paper, packaging, treated wood, and other everyday waste. Burning these materials can create unhealthy smoke and poses a fire risk, especially in dry conditions.
Noma residents have access to local trash pickup services, and everyone is encouraged to use one of these options for regular household waste disposal. Proper disposal helps keep our town clean, safe, and enjoyable for all.
At this time, the Town is asking for cooperation and neighborly consideration. If burning trash continues to be a problem, the Town Council may need to look at additional steps in the future.
Thank you for helping take care of our community. If you have questions, please contact Town Hall.
